Edith Igidimba

Edith Igidimba is an Accounting graduate and an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria (BRIPAN). She holds the ACCA certificate in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and has over 20 years of experience in accounting, accounting systems management, tax compliance and audit.

In 2015 she was appointed Group Manager, Control and Compliance at the Chicason Group (A-Z Petroleum Ltd, RIMCO Ltd, Afro Asia Automobile & Plastic Industries Ltd and Promotex Chemical Industries Ltd), and in 2016 she was promoted to Group Head of Audit, Manufacturing, for her outstanding performance. She introduced a compliant tax planning system that helped reduce heavy liabilities, and carried out several turnaround and rescue operations for ailing companies.

In collaboration with Accountancy Tools Ltd she designed inventory control software used in many organisations. She lectured part-time at CAP Professional Tutors, an ICAN-accredited study centre, and has facilitated training on internal audit and fraud detection and prevention. She is currently a council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and serves on its professional practice committee.
