Job Purpose

The Assistant Sales Representative will to provide vital support to the sales team, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and smooth operations. He/She will assist customers, recommend products or services, manage point-of-sale systems, maintain store appearance, and actively participate in sales promotions and events. 

Job Description
  • Ensure high levels of customer/client satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Recommend products, services, or merchandise to help customers or clients
  • Greeting customers or clients and offering assistance
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
  • Answering questions and addressing concerns
  • Accurately describe product features and benefits
  • Assisting in sales promotions, marketing support, and policies in organizing sales events, trade shows or marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrating how products and services work
  • Taking payments for purchases and packaging purchases
  • Follow-up and after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction, address any issues or concerns, and provide post-sales support or assistance
  • Stocking merchandise and creating displays
  • Inventory management by assisting with inventory control, monitoring stock levels, tracking inventory movement, and coordinating with the warehouse or procurement team to ensure product availability and services
  • Keep up-to-date information on products and services
  • Actively involved in the receiving of new shipments
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management
Competencies Required
  • 2 years of proven working experience in Global Distribution System (GDS) -Sabre, Galileo, platforms for reservations.
  • HND or BSc in Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and basic administration skills
  • Track record of over-achieving sales quota
  • Records of sold tickets
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook for a variety of tasks.
