Job Purpose
The Sales Officer will be responsible for leading and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the sales team, determining the best strategies to increase purchases for the project. Assisting higher management in developing reasonable sales goals and collaborating with marketing teams to expand brand presence.
Job Description
· Informing potential and existing customers of company promotions, as well as preparing accurate sales and expense reports.
· Identify new sales opportunities through customer referrals.
· Developing and sustaining long-lasting relationships with customers.
· Responding to customers' questions and escalating complex issues to the relevant departments as needed.
· Develop and implement effective sales strategy and targets that would contribute to the project’s success.
· Maintaining an accurate record of all sales, scheduled customer appointments, and customer complaints.
· Collaborating with the marketing department to ensure that the project is reaching its target audience and making sales.
· Informing product developers of possible product improvements and changes to ensure that company products meet current market needs.
· Researching and implementing current market trends helpful to the project.
· Facilitate cold and warm calls to prospective leads; schedule and follow through on calls with leads and current customers
· Promote specific products as directed by project management
· Preparing cost-benefit analyses for prospective and existing customers to determine the most suitable purchase options.
· Analyzing competitors' products to determine product features, benefits, shortfalls, and market success.
- Carry out any other duty as may be assigned
Competencies Required
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, or any related field
· Minimum of 2 years experience in a sales role.
· Experience in Agribusiness or farming-related fields will be highly recommended.
· Strong I.T knowledge and experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
· Excellent Report Writing skills
· Excellent negotiation and consultative sales skills.
· Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage competing priorities
· Excellent problem-solving, and analytical skills.
· Excellent verbal, and written communication, persuasion, and research skills.
· Ability to pay attention to detail.
· Ability to work as a part of a team and independently.
