Odiaka Olika

Odiaka Olika is a partner in the start-up investment banking firm Axe & Scofield Capital LLC, specialising in transaction advisory, private equity, wealth and investment advisory, securitisation and asset reconstruction, risk management, financial analysis and portfolio management.

He has over 23 years of banking and financial services experience. He started his banking career in 1998 as an entry-level staff member at Société Générale Bank Limited, and within 12 years had worked with three other major banks in middle management, leading change and turnaround teams. In his last banking role, as a senior manager at First Bank, he oversaw public sector and multinational company portfolios of over $250 million between 2010 and 2015. Between 2015 and 2017 he led a team that successfully restructured a $110 million loan facility involving two major international banks on behalf of a Federal Government institution.

He studied Biochemistry at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, graduating in 1994, and holds a PGDM and an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University and an MSc in International Affairs and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy. Committed to further learning, he is a student member of the CFA Institute, the CAIA Association, the FDP Institute, GARP and CIS Nigeria.
